Our Story: The Vision Behind Hypernova Bio
Founder's Note
I started Hypernova Bio not just to build a business, but to solve a problem I saw every day: the heartbreak caused by inaccessible medical treatments and extremely costly drug prices. By using the latest AI and scientific models, and by connecting research with real human needs, I believe we can change the story for patients everywhere.
How did Hypernova Bio came into existence
The idea for Hypernova Bio was born in January 2015, inspired by a deeply personal experience. While working in the pharmacy sector in India, our founder, Het Jayant Shah, witnessed firsthand how unaffordable drug prices could devastate families and communities. He saw caregivers with immense talent and compassion struggle with limited resources. In this heartbreaking reality, lives were lost not because treatments didn’t exist, but because they were financially out of reach.
Shocked by these inequalities, Het made a life-changing decision. Determined to find a solution, he came to the United States, the country of dreams, to pursue his master’s degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU). There, he deepened his scientific expertise and global perspective, driven by a single question:
“How can I use my scientific knowledge, industry experience, and passion to create a real solution? How can I help deliver better-quality medicines to those who need them most at prices they can truly afford?”
From that question, Hypernova Bio began to take shape. Starting in May 2018, after completing his master's and having a master's degree in Hand, Het devoted years to research, exploring emerging technologies, gaining expertise, and building a worldwide network of collaborators. After years of development, he finalized the company’s vision and structure in 2025.
The solution he envisioned was revolutionary: combining artificial intelligence and genetic data to transform the way drugs are discovered, designed, and brought to market.
Today, Hypernova Bio is more than just a company; it’s a movement for healthcare equity. Our mission is to accelerate drug discovery, enhance efficacy, and reduce costs so that innovative medicines can reach everyone, everywhere. Every project we pursue and every partnership we form is guided by one belief: Access to high-quality, affordable medicines should be a basic right not a privilege.
